I disagree and really love this scene. It's much more natural and realistic to me. I find it more believable and can imagine being picked up this way. The way they talk about 'haggen dazz' in the car and the shyness tiffany has make this a huge turn on, and the focus on the men is also erotic as it makes me think of me in that situation.
