There are even freeware tools available on the web which can yield the same result when used with a video editing program.

canazz, since it's all digital these days, it's just a global color shift for the entire picture. They choose an area in the scene that is "supposed" to be a medium gray (not warm nor cool) and then the processor recolors that area to make it a neutral gray. Along with that area, all colors in the scene shift as well. It's called White Balance control. Pretty easy to do with digital technology. You can also add or subtract color saturation. That's why digital SLR cameras (the high-end Canons, Nikons and Hasselblads), are effectively replacing film in the professional photography industry.
