Actually considering the state of the art as it was for the average home consumer when this was made this video is pretty good (IMO). It's not traditional anime. Traditional anime like "Heavy Metal" was made the same way cartoons were made from the beginning of animation. This is all done on the computer. Computers even now have limits but they are improving all the time so I can only imagine that computer generated characters will only improve as the tech. advances.
